Offset Through

Offset is a great tool. Sometimes however you don't know the exact distance yet. With 'Offset Through' you can offset an entity without fixing its position. By moving the crosshairs the offset distance will change according to the position of the mouse. It will keep on changing until you click. At that moment the position will be fixed. It's very hard though to click an exact distance while an exact distance is preferable. In the command line the distance is shown live. When you move the mouse the distance is updated. You can set an exact distance. With the multiple option you can make several offsets in one go. The side option allows you to make an offset on both sides right away. You can select another layer to offset to and when you are not happy with the last made offset you can undo it without exiting the command. 'Offset Through' combines flexibility with accuracy which makes it a great design tool.
